How It Works
In Person or Online Percussion Lessons
We'll meet online once per week for 30 minutes or if your prefer, in-person lessons are available at my location.
The First Lesson is FREE! This ensures that this is a good fit for everyone!
AFTER the 1st lesson.....I charge $30 per week to secure your spot in the lesson rotation. Payment is expected before at the time of the weekly lesson. I accept Paypal, Venmo, Cash App, and Cash. No Checks Please.
**If a student has to miss, you may reschedule an additional lesson at any time. If you are a no-show without at least 24 hours notification, you are agreeing that the lesson funds will be forfeited. Exceptions to this are emergencies beyond your control. If a lesson is missed, payment is still due. Failure to pay for the lesson will result in termination of services. Remember, if you miss a payment, I will provide make up lessons. This is a subscription based service.
Equipment
What will a Beginner Student Need?
Students will need drum sticks, a "practice pad," and a stand (optional) to put the practice pad on. Recommendations (and links!) will be provided. Classes will eventually use a book, and the direction of study (and accompanying book) will be determined by the interest and goals of the students & parents. Until then, exercise pdfs will be provided throughout classes.

Curriculum
What Kind of Instruction is Available?
Rhythms, Rudiments, Time Signatures! These will mostly be foundational classes (although there will be intermediate classes as well). We will focus heavily on rhythms; reading, counting, understanding and playing them.We will cover proper technique while learning the essential rudiments as well as the different time signatures. We can supplement these classes with Beginner mallets(bells), Drumset, and/or Timpani
